Hello,
How are all of you
and your fur kids coping with these crazy times we are living through? I
don't know about you, but it's times like these that I'm grateful for my four legged family members.
Hello, how do you do-just before we left the Joplin Humane Society on July 10th.
And speaking of fur kids, I have an introduction to make. After losing both my girls within six months, it was time to add to our pack. Now we still have three oldsters with us; Dylan (age 15), Penny (age 11) and, of course he who once was the baby, Niki (age 9).
I am thrilled to introduce
Darcy, who has just recently joined the family. Michael has been wanting
someone to help him take care of the place, as you might say. We finally headed
down to The Joplin Humane Society and he met Darcy (whose name was Bobby at
the time).
Going For a Ride!
Darcy is part Border
Collie and at ten months old, a bundle of energy. I think that is why his
original family gave him up. He needs space to just run like crazy.
Darcy loves to swim, which does not make a fishing loving grandson too happy. Darcy scares away the fish! |
We’ve taught him to
sit and not chase chickens. He would still love to catch a sheep (he can’t get
in their field, fortunately). If Covid weren’t upon us, we would have him
enrolled in Puppy School.
I'm such a help! Catch any fish? |
When our grand old
Black Lab, Bennett passed in January of ’19, things just haven’t been the same.
I don’t know if Darcy will fill his shoes but we’re already pretty crazy about
the guy.
If you have read Jane
Austin, something might hit you about both names. Yes, occasionally, I name
our dogs after Jane Austin characters. And Darcy is a fitting name for this
dapper boy.
Framed! Darcy's creative way of bringing back the Frisbee. |
That all I have today. It’s been a nice feeling to get to talk about a new fur baby. Has anyone else added someone new to their life?
Take care & Stay
safe
Oh how cute! Welcome home Darcy, you're gonna love your new life!
ReplyDeleteThank you Brian. And another note, the five cat brothers have Darcy totally under their control. They have their bluff in! One little swat and that was all it took :-)
DeleteWhat a cutie pie. You are going to be a wonderful addition to your new family. So precious.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to Darcy. ♥
Thank you. We think he is going to work just fine. He's a happy fellow.
DeleteWhat a delightful addition to your fur family. I love the energy and intelligence of Border Collies and Darcy is a perfect name for him.#SeniSal
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes, he definitely has the energy of all three of our oldsters put together and probably more!
Deleteso cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you-I think he is too-but, I'm probably a bit prejudiced. Thanks for dropping by!
DeleteThanks for adopting a dog that needs special care! We did, too, and he looks a lot like Darcy. Terri
ReplyDeleteHello, Thank you for dropping by. At this point, all our fur kids are adopted. Darcy just needed somewhere safe where he could run to his hearts content. I thought the name fitted, he looks rather dapper to me.
DeleteDarcy is one to fill up your days and attention! He's a dog who wants to have fun and he can find it at your place!
ReplyDeleteI saw the joy in your good man's eyes even past the necessary mask.My Milo would have a good time with Darcy at your place too... he's only 3 and still puppy and adventurous but he can't play with friends now and doesn't understand. I'm so sorry for your losses... I thought I couldn't come back from Cole (our poodle son before Milo) passing, til one day he came to me in an unmistakable way and said he loved me but I had to let him go for both our sakes. I began to heal finally and then met a puppy... he took over our lives bringing joy again. LeeAnna at not afraid of color
Hello-thank you for dropping by. Darcy is a handful too and keeps wanting to play with our older dogs and that does not go over at all. I know what you have gone through about missing those special ones. I'm slowly getting over Sophia and Millie (we still have Niki). It was hard losing both my special girls six months apart (we had to say goodby to Millie on May 1st) and I'm not ready to get another Poodle quite yet. Darcy is a good dose of happiness and I'm glad we brought him into our life. But, if it was Covid, he would be in Puppy school because at 10 months he doesn't really know better although I have taught him to sit. Take care and stay safe.

Please Read. You have a great post here, Have anyone here know Goji Berries... yes... I tried those too.For my health conditions, Those sweet, red berries seemed to help, but only during the time when I consumed them. I don't want to take a drug for the rest of my life, so why would I want to take a natural supplement everyday for the rest of my life (although Goji berries are very tasty and are highly nourishing). To me this was not a cure either (and I'm LOOKING for the CURE).
ReplyDeleteUp to that point, I hadn't found a cure. I felt like a young jumbled mess. I continued to have extreme pain, but continued on my path to healing. I started to focus on myself and not everyone else. When I was a young adult, I took on too much responsibility out of a sense of obligation. This was no longer healthy for me, so I resigned from all my projects and groups. Those days to come were the best [and worst] days. I took a lot of time off work, yet begun to feel so extremely exhausted. Many health professionals "diagnosed" me with adrenal fatigue & Hiv,Prostate Cancer so my situation was annoying then I keep searching for permanent cure online that's when I came to know of Dr jekawo herbal doctor hands whom god has blessed with ancestral powers and a gift to heal people with disease like .Cancers,Alzheimer's disease,HPV,Men & Women Infertility,Melanoma, Mesothelioma, Diabetes, Multiple myeloma, Parkinson's disease,Neuroendocrine tumors,Herpes, Hiv/Aids,Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma,, chronic diarrhea, COPD, Hepatitis... So I made a purchase of his herbal medicines and I have been watching my health for 6 years now and I actually confirmed that his herbal medicines are a permanent cure and I'm so happy that I came to know of his herbal healings. You can contact Dr Jekawo herbal doctor Email: drjekawo@gmail.com if you went through exactly what I go through in terms of health conditions because to be honest there is more to learn about natural herbs than medical drugs.
