"A dog has the soul of a philosopher."

Today, I am going to talk about a fun thing that I do with Niko.
He likes to gulp his food and we are constantly on portion control because he can be a little chuncko. Dr. Michelle Cahill, our veterinarian, had a video on a UTube a few months ago with an elderly cat and a good way she was getting him to exercise. She demonstrated a Kibble Nibble, which is a puzzle feeder.
I thought this might work for Niko and ordered one and it has been working out great. It takes a bit longer to eat his food and he gets to play.
This is a short video of Niko in action with his Kibble Nibble
Here is the video for the cat owners. Older cats take a bit of training, but it's not hard. They catch one pretty easily. Just click on the picture.
I purchased Niko's Puzzle Feeder through Academy Animal Clinic, but Premier Pet has a huge selection of interactive toys. The Magic Mushroom looks to be next on our list.
Until tomorrow. Tomorrow is Wordless Wednesday and I can't wait!
